Hormonal Control in the Stallion
The
diagram represents the endocrine glands in the stallion brain and sites
of hormone production within the testis. Hormones production is regulated
in a coordinated fashion with what are known as feedback loops. To maintain
secretion of the male hormones from the testis, an essential feedback loop
exits with the hypothalamus and anterior pituitary.
