Pregnancy Detection

It is very important to map the location of cysts that are found in the mare's reproductive tract before attempting to do an ultrasound scan for early pregnancy. Below is an example of a "cyst map" and a picture of one on the cysts. Cysts will usually remain present throughout one breeding season and likely remain for multiple years. (The pregnancy scans will be done on the same mare.)
