Broad Ligament

The broad ligament supports the reproductive tract and contains blood vessels and nerves that supply the tract. The broad ligament is divided into three parts; mesovarium supports the ovaries, mesosalpinx supports the oviduct and the mesometrium supports the uterine horns and body.

Note that the intestines and other abdominal organs have been removed for ease of viewing. The ovary (O) remains high while the uterine horn (UH) and body are lower in the abdominal cavity.
