Ejaculate Concentration
The number of sperm per ml of ejaculate is important in deciding how to dilute the ejaculate and in determining the number of possible insemination doses. In this movie, we will show how to use a sperm concentration machine to determine concentration. This machine costs $2500-$3000.
An cheaper alternative is to use a hemocytometer ($125) and a microscope that you need anyway to evaluate sperm motility. This method is more difficult for most people, but once learned, is a fairly simple procedure.
