In this movie, the young, inexperience stallion rears and strikes when asked to back away from the mare. This is a very DANGEROUS SITUATION. Luckily the handler was wearing a helmet but was in a dangerous position when the stallion refuses to back up. Good ground manners are important in a breeding stallion and should be reinforced whenever a stallion is handled. In this situation, correcting the stallion for dangerous behavior is very important.

This stallion "remembered" how to behave after correction and was very good for the rest of the collection. This handler knows the stallion and was aware that the stallion needed to be corrected in a "big" way to understand that he was not to behave in such a dangerous manner. Treating another stallion with such a severe correction could turn the stallion off to teasing and collection.
