Keeping accurate records are very important! They are used to:
- Predict estrus
- Predict pregnancy, schedule pregnancy checks, determine due date, document paternity
- Identification and management of problem breeders
- Stallion (technician) fertility

The estrus tease chart is a method we use and allows one to view at a glance when a mare should come into estrus, which day(s) should breeding occur and if a mare is overdue for coming into estrus and needs to be checked for pregnancy.
