Sustainability of F1 Populations of Dairy Cattle in Tropical Mexico

Introduction

This specific case is up to you to develop but the case should related to how you might maintain a F1 poplulation of Dairy cattle in Tropical Regions of Mexico such as in the Tabasco area. Be sure you address breeds, their availabiltiy in Mexico and suitability for the particular enviornment. Make it sound like a story that leads you to solve a problem.

Products:

• Produce a series of webpages or webpages + a podcast that solve the case.  You must think of how to lead your reader/listener on your quest to a solution.
• Produce an audio public service announcement that indicates to dairy producers in Tabasco what a change in their cattle can mean to them and the community at large.

Assessment Plan

The instructor will be using a standard rubric to evaluate the final products and submission of progress elements as found in the timeline of activities.  Participation in the project will be evaluated from the student evaluation of themselves and others in the group.  Each member receives the same grade for the project except if participation is found to be lacking.  In the event some member does not contribute equally to the overall project (they may do separate parts and that is ok but overall must put in similar effort), then deductions to their grade will be made.  No student however can receive a grade better than what the final products are deemed to be worth by the instructor.
