Dennis Buege
Elected the President of the American Meat Science Association (AMSA) Recieved the Honorary State FFA Degree presented by the Wisconsin Association of FFA on June 15. This award is presented on the basis of outstanding service to the agriculture education/ FFA program.Dan Gianola
Dan Gianola has been awarded the prestigious Mercator Visiting Professorship at the Deutsche Forschingsgmeinschaft (German Research Foundation) at the University of Goettingen. Dr. Gianola will be a visiting professor next year.Dave Thomas
Recieved the Bouffault International Animal Agriculture Award at the recent Society of Animal Science meeting in Cincinnati. Dave was recognized for his leadership roles in animal agriculture as a Peace Corps volunteer, and under auspices of USAID in Indonesia, Central Asia and Kenya.Alice Wentworth
Recieved the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Midwest Poultry Consortium on July 19. This award is presented on the basis of student and peer appreciation for outstanding instructional contributions.

Signal Service Award of the American Meat Science Association. Presented at the Reciprocal Meat Conference in June.
Dave Thomas
Animal Management Award 2004 (jointly with collegue, Yves Berger). American Society of Animal Sciences. Presented at the annual meeting of ASAS in St. Louis, MO. The award is presented for outstanding research in animal management during the past 10 years.
2004 Art Pope Award. Wisconsin Sheep Breeders Cooperative. Presented at the annula meeting of the WSBC at the 3rd Annual Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival, Jefferson, Wisconsin. Presented for outstanding service to the WSBC and the Wisconsin Sheep Industry.
