Equine Reproductive Training Courses
Courses for Spring 2009
Reproductive Management of the Mare
Reproductive Management of the Stallion
Freezing Stallion Semen
Equine Reproductive Training Courses are specially modified so that lectures are delivered as on-line web pages and labs condensed to only 2 Saturdays per course during the spring semester. The format allows individuals to cover lecture material on their own schedule and conveniently attend the lab for hands-on instruction using Department of Animal Science stallions, mares, foals and equipment. The topics in Equine Reproductive Management II are similar to short courses offered by other universities but the Saturday labs make it easy to attend, do not require an overnight stay and do not take excessive time out of your busy schedule. Labs take place in Department of Animal Science teaching laboratories and our newly remodeled horse facilities. There are no prerequisites for the class and it is open to anyone. Follow the information below or call the Department of Animal Science for more help (608-263-5225). Due to the structure of the course, auditing is not permitted. Must have 4 students enrolled to hold class. Maximum of 20 students per class.
Certificate in Reproductive Management of the Mare or Stallion will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the course. Individual instruction available. CE credit available.
