Biographical Information: Jim, his wife, Ruth Ann, and his daughters
run a flock of approximately 200 commercial crossbred ewes on their 80-acre
farm near Clintonville, Wisconsin. He is a believer in the economic and sheep
health benefits of a sheep grazing system. He also pasture lambs. He generally
sells feeder lambs. He is the 2000 recipient of the Wisconsin Sheep Breeders
Cooperative Master Shepherd - Commercial Award.

Biographical Information: Kevin Slack of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, a farmer through generations past, resides on the 503-acre family farm with wife Sue and two sons, Ryan and Andrew. Kevin has been raising Suffolk Sheep since 1978. He also runs a small herd of Angus cattle along with crop fields. Kevin was the 2000 recipient of the Wisconsin Sheep Breeders Cooperative Master Shepherd - Purebred Award.

Larry and Emily Meisegeier, Commerical, Purebred, and Dairy Sheep Producers, Bruce, WI
Biographical Information:Larry and Emily Meisegeier operate a mixed livestock farm with their two teenage sons near Bruce, Wisconsin along the Chippewa River. Their 218-acre farm, River Ridge Stock Farm, has been in Emily's family since 1910. Larry's interest in exotic breeds and Emily's interest in spinning and weaving have resulted in the farm experimenting with many different sheep breeds. The sheep operation is now centered around a dairy sheep operation concentrating on East Friesian breeding. They will milk about 230 ewes in 2001.
